[origin: WO9107384A1] Process for the production of alkyl-(3-chlorophenyl) sulphones of formula (I) in which R1 and R2 are straight-chained or branched alkyl (C1-C4) groups which may be the same or different, by reacting alkyl phenyl sulphones of formula (II), in which R1 and R2 are the substances given above, in sulphuric acid or oleum with chlorine at temperatures of about 20 to 180 DEG C.

Procédé de fabrication de sulfones d'alkyle-3-chlorophényle de formule (I) où R1 et R2 sont des groupes alkyle (C1-C4) en chaîne linéaire ou ramifiée, qui peuvent être semblables ou différents, dans lequel on fait réagir des sulfones de phényle-alkyle de formule (II) où R1 et R2 ont les mêmes notations que ci-dessus, dans de l'acide sulfurique ou de l'oléum avec du chlore à des températures d'environ 20 à environ 180 °C.
