[origin: EP0500938A1] A method for the preparation of a standard vapour-gas mixture of a substance to be analyzed consists in maintaining the substance to be analyzed at constant temperature and effecting a diffusion of the substance into a free volume, through which flows a gas carrier, from its solid phase. For that purpose, in a device for preparation of a standard vapour-gas mixture of a substance to be analyzed, and to complement the said method,there is a means (3) providing for penetration of the substance to be analyzed into a free volume, through which flows a gas carrier comprising a solid photographite matrix (4) whose interplane cavities serve as receptacles for the substance to be analyzed, and a casing (5) in which is placed said matrix (4). In a specific embodiment, the matrix (4) consists of a disk (60) provided with a channel (59). <IMAGE>
