A chair has a backrest (6) which has a support plate which, in turn, is covered on its rear side by a covering (35) of flexible material. The support plate and a seat support are connected to one another in an attachment region (36). Formed in the covering (35) is an opening (37) which accommodates at least the attachment region (36) and can be closed by a cover part (38) by means of a touch-and-close tape (41). The purpose of this measure is to make the connection of the backrest to a seat support possible in a simple and visually attractive manner. <IMAGE>

Ein Stuhl weist eine Rückenlehne (6) auf, die eine Tragplatte aufweist, die wiederum auf ihrer Rückseite mit einem Bezug (35) aus flexiblem Material überzogen ist. Die Tragplatte und ein Sitzträger sind in einem Befestigungsbereich (36) miteinander verbunden. Im Bezug (35) ist eine mindestens den Befestigungsbereich (36) aufnehmende Öffnung (37) ausgebildet, die mit einem Abdeckteil (38) mittels eines Klettbandes (41) verschließbar ist. Der Zweck dieser Maßnahme liegt darin, die Verbindung der Rückenlehne mit einem Sitzträger in einfacher und optisch ansprechender Weise zu ermöglichen. <IMAGE>
