A proximity controlled faucet has an electrical, hand-actuated switch (6) constructed in the manner of a handle of a conventional, hand-actuated faucet. This switch (6) can be moved into various positions corresponding to various operating modes of the faucet. Included in these operating modes are, in particular, the normal detection of a user, the blocking of the proximity detection and opening of the faucet independently of electronic detection. In the manner illustrated, the electric switch (6) can be integrated visually into the outward form of the faucet in a manner acceptable to the public. <IMAGE>

Eine berührungslos gesteuerte Sanitärarmatur weist einen elektrischen, handbetätigten Schalter (6) auf, der nach Art eines Griffes einer herkömmlichen, handbetätigten Sanitärarmatur ausgebildet ist. Dieser Schalter (6) kann in verschiedene Stellungen gebracht werden, denen unterschiedliche Betriebsarten der Sanitärarmatur entsprechen. Zu diesen Betriebsarten gehören insbesondere die normale Detektion eines Benutzers, die Sperrung der berührungslosen Detektion sowie ein Öffnen der Sanitärarmatur unabhängig von der elektronischen Detektion. Auf die geschilderte Weise läßt sich der elektrische Schalter (6) optisch in das Erscheinungsbild der Sanitärarmatur auf eine Weise integrieren, die vom Publikum akzeptiert wird. <IMAGE>
