Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0501263A2] A device for the remote control of a shower comprises a first sensor (3) having a first detection region (5). If a user enters this detection region (5) a detection circuit (7) which is connected downstream of the sensor (3) ensures that the magnetic valve (9) which controls the water flow through the showerhead (1) is opened. A second sensor (4) is also provided which has a considerably smaller detection region (6). If the user who is standing under the shower (1) moves his hand into the smaller detection region (6) of the second sensor (4), a detection circuit (10) which is arranged downstream of said sensor likewise generates an output signal. The output signals of the two detection circuits (7, 10) are combined via a circuit (11) which carries out a logic AND function and produces an output signal when both the sensor (3) having the larger detection region (5) and the sensor (4) having the smaller detection region (6) respond. This output signal is now in turn supplied to a logic circuit (12) which, at the start of this signal, determines the respective switching state of the electrically operated valve (9), like a changeover switch, and moves it to the opposite state, that is to say for example closes an open valve or opens a closed valve. <IMAGE>
