Abstract (en)
An electric switch responsive separately to temperature and pressure has stationary and movable switch contacts, of which the movable contact is coupled by motion transfer means to diaphragm means responsive to temperature and to pressure. The diaphragm means may include a snap-acting temperature responsive diaphragm and a separate pressure responsive diaphragm. The motion transfer means may include a solid or tubular pin extending from the temperature responsive diaphragm to the movable contact with a second pin extending from the pressure responsive diaphragm either to the temperature responsive diaphragm or directly to the movable contact. The temperature responsive diaphragm may be mounted in a cage with the second pin extending from the cage to the pressure responsive diaphragm.
