[origin: FR2654583A1] Method for extracting cholesterol from an animal fat by molecular distillation using a conventional molecular distillation apparatus comprising a means for obtaining a thin film of liquid fat of the order of 0.1 to 1 mm thick for distillation on a heated wall in a vacuum with subsequent evaporation of the cholesterol. The method also provides for recuperation of the cholesterol-reduced fat in that the said surface is heated by an induction heating device.

La présente invention a pour objet un procédé d'extraction du cholestérol à partir d'une matière grasse d'origine animale par distillation moléculaire à l'aide d'un appareil de distribution moléculaire conventionnel comprenant des moyens pour obtenir un film mince d'une épaisseur de l'ordre de 0,1 à 1 mm d'une matière grasse liquide à distiller sur une paroi chauffée sous vide pour provoquer l'évaporation du cholestérol, et consistant à récupérer la matière grasse allégée en cholestérol, caractérisé en ce que ladite surface est chauffée par un dispositif de chauffage par induction.
