[origin: EP0502256A2] The invention relates to a gas bubbling device which functions without the customary sheet-metal casing and is intended for the treatment of steel in a ladle with a ceramic body which has gas openings and can be connected to a feed line for bubbling gas, a connecting spigot, to which a connecting sleeve having a gas feed pipe can be coupled in a gas-tight and releasable manner, being formed on the base of the ceramic body. A screwed connection is provided for the coupling since it is particularly easy to handle, and sealing can be even further improved by the use of seals. The ceramic body can be designed either as a bubble brick or a bubble cone. <IMAGE>
