[origin: WO9108343A1] Described is a device for honing rails (5), in particular rail joints, the device having an abrasive disc (3) which is held in a mounting (1) and which can be brought into contact with the surface of the rail. The abrasive-disc mounting (1) is supported by the rail (5) on each side of the grinding point (6). To ensure optimum smoothness, the abrasive-disc mounting (1) is controlled at two points located one each side of the grinding point (6) to follow a curved trajectory substantially parallel to the ideal surface of the rail (5) as well as being held at a constant distance from the actual surface.

Un dispositif pour la rectification de rails (5), en particulier de joints de rail, possède une meule (3) pouvant être amenée jusqu'au profil du rail et retenue dans un porte-meule (1), ce dernier étant supporté des deux côtés de l'endroit à rectifier (6) sur le rail (5). Pour l'obtention d'une rectification optimale, le porte-meule (1) est guidé d'une part, en deux points se trouvant des deux côtés de l'endroit à rectifier (6), le long d'une trajectoire incurvée sensiblement parallèle au profil idéal du rail (5), et maintenu d'autre part à distance égale du profil de rail réel.
