Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0503122A1] In a hazard alarm system operating according to the chain synchronisation principle, one or more changeover devices (UE1, UE2,...) are disposed in the spur line (MPL1) at predetermined positions in addition to the devices (E1 to En) of a respective spur line, i.e. a first primary alarm line (MPL1). Each changeover device (UE) of the one spur line (MPL1) is provided with control electronics (STE), a through-connection device (S1) and a changeover device (US), and is connected via a second primary alarm line (MPL2) in chain formation to the hazard alarm control centre (Z). In normal operation, the spur line (MPL1) is through-connected by means of the changeover device (US or US-1, US-2) in each transmission device (UE1, UE2,...). In the event of a fault being detected in the control centre (Z), due to interruption (UB) on the spur line (MPL1), the incoming second primary alarm line (MPL2) is connected to the outgoing spur line (MPL1) by means of the control electronics (STE) and the through-connection device (S1), and the changeover device (US or US-1, US-2, US-3) of the changeover element (UE2) which is disposed in the spur line (MPL1) downstream of the interruption (UB). <IMAGE>
