[origin: EP0503636A1] Device for closing the extraction orifice of an extraction compartment for valuable articles, for example for banknotes dispensed from an automatic cash dispenser, the extraction compartment having a cash feed orifice (14) facing away from the extraction orifice (12). There are provided an outer flap (24), pivotable between a closing position closing the extraction orifice and an opening position swung into the extraction compartment (2), and an inner flap (30) which is fastened pivotably to the free end of the outer flap (24) and the free end of which is so guided by way of a positive guide (32, 34) that it covers the feed orifice (14) in the opening position of the outer flap (24) and opens the feed orifice (14) in the closing position of the outer flap (24). This ensures that the feed orifice is closed when the outer flap (24) is open, so that, on the one hand, no equalising airflow can occur between the inside and outside and, on the other hand, access to the automatic cash dispenser located behind the feed orifice (24) becomes more difficult. <IMAGE>
