A microwave oven includes an inner barrier (28) mounted for electric wave shielding on a frame (20) of a door (13) for opening and closing a cooking chamber (12). The inner barrier (28) includes a transparent base plate (30) and a mesh conductor pattern (31) formed on a counter cooking chamber side of the base plate (30). The conductor pattern (31) includes a portion (33, 34) disposed along the peripheral edge of the base plate (30). The portion (33, 34) of the conductor pattern (31) has a line width larger than the other portion of the base plate (30).
