Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0504008A1] Probes (1) provided with magnets are used in boreholes provided with a metal casing pipe (2). They are pressed, at the surface, against the inner wall of the pipe and are driven towards the bottom by means of a rigid driving member (3) such as a production tubular column provided with driving means : stop-pieces (6) for longitudinal driving and lateral projections (7) for lateral positioning of the probe, or else traction slings etc. The probe wall applied against the pipe may have the same radius of curvature as the latter, so as to improve the connection. The probe may be associated with an electronic acquisition and transmission box fixed to the column. Before any action is taken, the column is sufficiently moved so as to eliminate any mechanical connection with the probe. After use, the probe may be moved towards another point of action or brought back to the surface by moving the column. Application to all actions taken in oil wells, for example. <IMAGE>
