Internal combustion engine cylinder head with more than two overhead valves (4a, 4b; 5a, 5b) per cylinder, which are actuated via rocker levers (10, 11), each rocker lever (10, 11) being mounted individually on the cylinder head via a bridge (12). A compact construction is achieved by the fact that a valve bridge (6, 6a, 7) mounted on the bridge (12) is provided for the actuation of two valves (4a, 4b; 5a, 5b) having the same function. At least one of two rocker levers (10, 11) per cylinder acts on a valve bridge (6, 6a, 7) mounted on the bridge (12), the pivots of the rocker levers (10, 11) being at different distances from the centre plane (20) of the cylinder. <IMAGE>

Zylinderkopf einer Brennkraftmaschine mit mehr als zwei hängend angeordneten Ventilen (4a, 4b; 5a, 5b) pro Zylinder, die über Kipphebel (10, 11) betätigt werden, wobei jeder Kipphebel (10, 11) über eine Brücke (12) einzeln am Zylinderkopf gelagert ist. Eine kompakte Bauweise wird dadurch erreicht, daß zur Betätigung von zwei Ventilen (4a, 4b; 5a, 5b) gleicher Funktion eine Ventilbrücke (6, 6a, 7) vorgesehen ist, die an der Brücke (12) gelagert ist. Mindestens einer von zwei Kipphebeln (10, 11) pro Zylinder wirkt auf eine an der Brücke (12) gelagerte Ventilbrücke (6, 6a, 7) ein, wobei die Drehpunkte der Kipphebel (10, 11) unterschiedlichen Abstand zur Zylindermittenebene (20) haben. <IMAGE>
