[origin: EP0504129A1] A convertible settee has a head part 2 which can be inserted in a space provided between the backrest 7 and the rear wall of the furniture frame 1, a seat frame 6 supporting a seat cushion 5, and a central frame 4 provided with a cushion 3. The central frame 4 located below the seat cushion 5 in the seating position of the furniture is arranged between the head part 2 and the seat frame 6 in the lying position of the furniture. In order to achieve satisfactory functioning when converting the furniture, support feet 8, 9 are hinged to the central frame 4 in the region of its two ends and are connected to one another by a link rod 13, the central frame 4 being connected to the seat frame 6 via a guide rod 17 which is guided displaceably in a guide 19 in the seat frame 6. <IMAGE>
