[origin: EP0504536A1] The concrete paving block is provided on one of its flat sides (6) with channels (7, 8) and its narrow sides (4) have spacing cams (5) which, seen from the flat side with channels, do not extend over the entire height of the narrow sides, in order to accelerate water penetration. The concrete paving blocks are used with the side provided with channels (7) facing downwards, the channels serving as a water reservoir for rapidly accommodating rain water.
