To permit secure and permanent mounting of the sanitary unit (1) without damage occurring to the sanitary unit (1) as a result of the tightening torques exerted during mounting, a holding block (4) fixed to the floor or wall close to the respective mounting orifice (10) inside the sanitary unit (1) and bearing with a base (6) on the floor or wall possesses, in close proximity to one another, a multiplicity of bores (9) orientated in the direction of the mounting orifice (10) and inclined relative to the base (6), and a receptacle (13), inserted from outside into the mounting orifice (10), for the head (12) of a rod-shaped connecting part, in particular a screw (11), the other end of which engages in one of the bores (9). <IMAGE>
