Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0504617A1] The fixing of urea-free printing dyes on a textile fabric is possible if the fabric is moistened before it enters the steamer. A spray bar has therefore already been arranged in front of the entrance of a suspended-loop steamer. In the new suspended-loop steamer, a plurality of flat-jet nozzles (16) for spraying fine water droplets into the loop-forming zone (8) are arranged in rows on the inside of the end wall (1) at the entrance at a distance above the draw-in roller (2). An extremely uniform moistening is thereby guaranteed. The new suspended-loop steamer is especially suitable for fixing urea-free printing dyes on textile fabric webs. <IMAGE>
