A container with a snap-fit lid and tamperproofing for recognisable and irreversible indication of initial opening has at least one tab, but preferably two or more tabs which are connected non-releasably to the lid with foldable portions, at least one of which rests flatly against the wall of the container in the snapped-on position of the lid and is firmly connected to said wall.
