[origin: EP0504733A1] Two elongated pressure jaws (1, 2) are articulated on one another in the manner of scissors. At least one of the pressure jaws (1, 2) is firmly connected to a pressure transmission member (8 and 9, respectively). The respective free end (10, 11) of the pressure transmission members (8, 9) has the shape of a section of a cam plate. The respective pistons (46, 48) of a frame press come to bear on these sections. Since the pressure jaws (1, 2) are articulated on one another, they can adapt to any angle of a frame (39, 40, 41) to be pressed. Since the free ends (10, 11) of the pressure transmission members (8, 9) are curved, in every angular position thereof perfect force transmission takes place relative to the pistons (46, 48) of the frame press, which have a plane piston base (47 and 49, respectively). Consequently, angle-bound force transmission elements which are dependent on the particular angles of the frames and have to be specially manufactured in each case are not necessary. The preferred area of application is in frame presses for pressing wooden window frames or wings of triangular or sloping studio windows and the like. <IMAGE>
