[origin: EP0504783A2] The invention relates to an air-conditioner for cooling rooms, with an incoming air duct and an outgoing air duct, the air of which is in each case conveyed by a fan, the air being coolable in the incoming air duct by a heat exchanger and heatable in the outgoing air duct by a heat exchanger, and both ducts being interconnected by a size-adjustable opening which adds outgoing air to the incoming air, the two fans being regulated in such a manner that, irrespectively of the size of the adjustable opening and the flow resistances on the suction and pressure side of the outgoing air fan and the flow resistances on the suction and pressure side of the incoming air fan, which vary in particular as a result of the degree of dirtying of the air filters, a predefinable pressure on the pressure side of the incoming air fan, in particular in the direction of flow behind the incoming air filter, and a second predefinable pressure on the suction side of the outgoing air fan are kept constant. <IMAGE>
