Abstract (en)

The addition of a phenyl- or halophenyl-substituted hexachlorobicyclo-[2.2.1]hept-2-ene to a conventional grease composition comprising a base oil, such as an organic oil or a liquid polyorganosiloxane, and a thickener improves both the antiwear performance and low temperature lubricating properties of the composition.
