[origin: EP0504995A1] The invention relates to pinch-pointing jaws for nail making machines, comprising an elongate prismatic main body (1) of trapezoidal cross-section. A reversible and/or exchangeable insert (3) composed of wear-resistant material into which the pinch-pointing profile (4) is machined is arranged in a recess (6) in the end of the main body (1) and screwed to the main body (1). The recess (6) has lateral and/or rearward bearing surfaces and a bearing surface inclined at an angle of between 10 DEG and 30 DEG to the bottom surface of the main body (1). <IMAGE>
