Abstract (en)
Two-dimensional optical architecture allowing intercorrelation of two instantaneously-wide-band time signals. <??>The beam originating from a single-mode laser makes it possible to obtain two carriers (W1, W2) for signals R(t) and S(t) by means, for example, of integrated optical modulators (mod1, mod2). These two carriers have orthogonal polarisations and are distributed in a two-dimensional structure comprising spatial light modulators as well as polarisation separator elements. PxP independent channels (C1 to Cn) are thus produced. Their detection on a matrix of photodetectors (mod1 to modn) makes it possible to obtain, on each of them, the intercorrelation signal, for various delays of the signals R(t) and S(t). <??>Applications: correlation of wide-band electrical signals. <IMAGE>

Architecture optique à deux dimensions permettant l'intercorrélation de deux signaux temporels à large bande instantanée. Le faisceau issu d'un laser monomode permet d'obtenir deux porteuses (W1, W2) pour des signaux R(t) et S(t) au moyen par exemple de modulateurs optiques intégrés (mod1, mod2). Ces deux porteuses ont des polarisations orthogonales et sont réparties dans une structure à deux dimensions comprenant des modulateurs spatiaux de lumière ainsi que des éléments séparateurs de polarisations. PxP canaux indépendants (C1 à Cn) sont ainsi réalisés. Leur détection sur une matrice de photodétecteurs (mod1 à modn) permet d'obtenir, sur chacun d'eux, le signal d'intercorrélation, pour différents retards des signaux R(t) et S(t). Applications : Mise en corrélation de signaux électriques large bande. <IMAGE>
