[origin: EP0505241A2] The invention relates to a device for cooling an internal combustion engine operating in a two-phase mode. This device comprises a condenser (80) interposed between an inlet (90) for a cooling fluid in the vapour phase and in the liquid phase and an outlet (118) for the same cooling fluid in the liquid phase. The condenser (80) comprises a bundle (82), mounted between two fluid boxes (84 and 86) at least one of which (84) carries a phase separator (92, 94) interposed between the inlet (90) and the condenser (80) and further carries a liquid tank (112) interposed between the condenser (80) and the outlet (118). Thus a device of compact structure is obtained which may also include a pump (114) for circulating the cooling fluid in the liquid phase. <IMAGE>
