The invention relates to a billiard game, in particular a billiard table, having a substantially plane playing surface (2), which is preferably rectangular, limited at its periphery by retention edges (3) and bordered longitudinally by a concave playing surface (1) arranged between the plane playing surface (2) and the longitudinal retention edges (3). <??>According to the invention, the said concave playing surface (1) has a radius of curvature R of between 0.30 and 1.1 metres, the centre C of the circle determining the said radius of curvature R being located on a straight line D perpendicular to the plane playing surface (2) and passing through a point of intersection between the plane playing surface (2) and the concave playing surface (1). <??>Application to billiard tables. <IMAGE>

L'invention concerne un billard, en particulier table de billard, présentant une surface de jeu sensiblement plane (2), de préférence rectangulaire, limitée à sa périphérie par des bords de retenue (3), et bordée longitudinalement d'une surface de jeu concave (1) disposée entre la surface de jeu plane (2) et les bords de retenue longitudinaux (3). Selon l'invention ladite surface de jeu concave (1) présente un rayon de courbure R compris entre 0,30 et 1,1 mètre, le centre C du cercle déterminant ledit rayon de courbure R étant situé sur une droite D perpendiculaire à la surface de jeu plane (2) et passant par un point d'intersection entre la surface de jeu plane (2) et la surface de jeu concave (1).
