Abstract (en)

The invention relates to a method for adjusting the sizes of the matrix dots of a rotary offset printing machine, in which method mean set values, based on technical production conditions, for the sizes of the matrix dots of the printing forme are preset, the printing characteristic lines of the rotary offset printing machine are detected and, in the case of deviations of the printing characteristic lines from set values, compensation measures are initiated; in order to improve the reproduction accuracy, the mean set values of the sizes of the matrix dots for adjusting the individual inking mechanisms of the rotary offset printing machine are varied for each inking mechanism during the production of the printing forme taking into account the deviation trends of the updated printing characteristic lines; as an alternative, or additionally, colour extracts of the original are displayed on the screen of a colour simulation computer; the sizes of the matrix dots of the colour extract representations on the screen are varied within predetermined tolerances and on the basis of read-back printing characteristic line data of previous productions; and the rotary offset printing machine is controlled in accordance with the tolerance sensitivity of the original. <IMAGE>

Abstract (de)

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Einstellung der Rasterpunktgrößen für eine Offset-Rotationsdruckmaschine, bei dem auf produktionstechnischen Gegebenheiten beruhende Mittel-Sollwerte für die Rasterpunktgrößen der Druckform vorgegeben werden, die Druckkennlinien der Offset-Rotationsdruckmaschine erfaßt, und bei Abweichungen der Druckkennlinien von Sollwerten Kompensationsmaßnahmen eingeleitet werden; um die Wiedergabetreue zu verbessern, werden die Mittel-Soll-Werte der Rasterpunktgrößen zur Einstellung der einzelnen Farbwerke der Offset-Rotationsdruckmaschinen bei der Herstellung der Druckform unter Berücksichtigung des Abweichungs-Trends der aktualisierten Druckkennlinien farbwerksweise variiert; als Alternative oder zusätzlich werden Farbauszugsbilder der Druckvorlage auf dem Bildschirm eines Farbsimulations-Rechners dargestellt; die Rasterpunktgrößen der Farbauszugsdarstellungen auf dem Bildschirm werden innerhalb von vorgegebenen Toleranzen und aufgrund von zurückgelesenen Druckkennlinien-Daten vorangegangener Produktionen variiert; und entsprechend der Toleranzempfindlichkeit der Druckvorlage wird die Offset-Rotationsdruckmachine geregelt. <IMAGE>
