Abstract (en)

[origin: WO9109351A1] Located at the fixing station of the electrophotographic printer or copier described is a fixing roller (11), heated by a radiator module (30), and a pressure roller which is pivoted against and away from the fixing roller (11) by a cam mechanism (8, 7). So that the fixing roller and the pressure roller can be replaced while still hot, the fixing roller (11) is mounted in bearing flanges (14, 16), one (16) of which is rigidly mounted in the equipment while the other (14) is detachably mounted. The detachable flange (14) has clamping elements (16) which hold the fixing roller, as well as a handle by means of which the flange (14), with the fixing roller (11) fitted in it, can be removed from the fixing station. The pressure roller (9) is detachably mounted between two rocker arms (8) with a detachable bolt (57). A cooling rest (40, 51) designed to hold the hot fixing roller (11) and the radiator module (30) is also provided in the equipment.
