[origin: EP0505697A2] The invention relates to a label holder (36) for the back of letter filing appliances, having two lateral guide parts (1) which are arranged with lateral spacing from one another on the back (2) of the filing appliance and each forming an insertion gap (14) which is open at the edge for the side edges of a label (38). In order to provide a label holder which is simple in manufacture and handling, the lateral guide parts (1) consist of a flexible flat material which is held in the region of the insertion gap (14) by aligning means (3, 6) in a substantially parallel alignment relative to the back (2) of the filing appliance or relative to at least one support strip (5) which can be connected to the back (2) of the filing appliance. <IMAGE>
