The invention relates to a hydraulic valve lash adjuster for a desmodromic valve gear of an internal-combustion engine, having at least one piston-cylinder unit, inserted into the force path between a closing cam and an intake/exhaust valve and enclosing a pressure space (80), and a reservoir space (76), the pressure space and the reservoir space being connected via a non-return valve (78), a pressure-relief valve (90) being provided in order to avoid impermissibly high valve-actuating forces if the adjuster is "pumped up". <IMAGE>

Die Erfindung betrifft ein hydraulisches Ventilspiel-Ausgleichselement für eine desmodromische Ventilsteuerung einer Brennkraftmaschine, mit zumindest einer in den Kraftfluß zwischen einem Schließnocken und einem Gaswechselventil eingeschalteten, einen Druckraum (80) einschließenden Kolben-Zylinder-Einheit und einem Vorratsraum (76), wobei der Druckraum und der Vorratsraum über ein Rückschlagventil (78) verbunden sind, wobei zur Vermeidung unzulässig hoher Ventilbetätigungskräfte bei einem "Aufpumpen" des Ausgleichselementes ein Überdruckventil (90) vorgesehen ist. <IMAGE>
