The invention relates to a process for making asphalt mixtures with a drying and heating drum (12) placed above the mixing tower and is characterised in that the throughput of pure mineral materials is 100% of the drum capacity or, optionally, depending on the proportion of mineral materials, falling from 100%, contains as much granulated asphalt as desired. Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von Asphaltgemischen mit einer über dem Mischturm angeordneten Trocken- und Heiztrommel (12) und zeichnet sich dadurch aus, daß der Durchsatz an reinen Mineralstoffen 100 % der Trommelkapazität oder wahlweise, je nach Mineralstoffanteil, ab 100 % fallend, beliebig viel Asphaltgranulat enthält. Eine Ergänzung des Verfahrens zur Herstellung von Asphaltgemischen mit einer über dem Mischturm angeordneten Trocken- und Heiztrommel (12) für die Teilaufgabe der Abgaskühlung und -wäsche sieht vor, daß die Abkühlung durch das Heizwasser für die Mineralstoffe im geschlossenen System durch einen Gaswärmetauscher (14) geleitet wird und hinter diesem Wärmetauscher ein Sprühkühler (14) zur weiteren Abkühlung bzw. Kondensation und Auswaschung der Abgase in Form eines Sprühturmes nachgeschaltet ist und das hier auf 80 bis 90° C aufgewärmte Wasser über einen Wasser/Wasser-Wärmetauscher auf das abgekühlte Heizwasser, das von den Mineralsilos (21) zurückkommt, aufgegeben und dann durch den Gas-Wasser-Wärmetauscher geleitet wird. <IMAGE>
