Abstract (en)
A hemostatic clip applier (10) is disclosed showing improvements which enable the user to selectively trigger the feeding of a clip to the jaws 32 of the applier when desired. A cantilevered trigger button 100 is integrally formed with the housing 12 of the applier so as to be depressible by the user. The trigger button is provided with an internal cam surface 104 which cooperates with a pawl and ratchet mechanism to release the pawl 44 at a selected point in the cycle of operation of the applier and thereby feed a clip to the applier jaws. <IMAGE>
