Abstract (en)

Device for forming a stack of flat objects, in particular postal envelopes, comprising a conveyor (5), a stacking head (10) and a mobile carriage (11) comprising at least one strip made of a material with a substantial friction coefficient, controlled in rotation to drive the envelopes (2), the latter turning up with one of their edges resting on a horizontal plane (3) in the direction of a vertical plane for aligning (4) forming with the horizontal place a reference dihedron. <??>According to the invention, this device is characterised in that the strip of the stacking head is mounted on four rotating rollers arranged along the apexes of a parallelogram which can be deformed, two apexes (21, 22) being fixed and the two other (23, 24) being mobile but held at a given distance by a spacer (25), the displacement of the mobile apexes being carried out as a function of the pressure exerted by the strip on the stack being formed, measured permanently by a strain sensor acting on the control of the carriage movement, in a direction parallel to the edge of the reference dihedron. <IMAGE>
