Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0508163A2] The invention relates to a lighting fixture with reflecting optics, consisting of a housing which can be sealed by a glass element and in which a lamp with a linear light source in a cylindrical glass bulb and reflectors are accommodated. It is the object of the present invention to create special reflecting optics for a cycle track illuminating system having an extremely widely radiating light distribution and capable of illuminating the cycle tracks with very good uniformity by means of low-power lamps. The lighting fixture according to the invention is characterised by the combination of the following features: a reflector shaped like a gable roof is arranged above the lamp. The ridge line of the roof-shaped reflector is directed downwards and runs parallel to the linear light source at a short distance from the glass bulb thereof. Arranged parallel to the linear light source are two concave reflectors whose edge facing the housing roof runs at a short distance from the lines of the eaves of the roof-shaped reflector. The reflecting surface of the concave reflectors is satin-frosted. Arranged perpendicular to the linear light source are two planar reflectors whose outer corners are bent slightly inwards, and the reflectors surrounding the roof-shaped reflector are tilted slightly outwards. The glass member sealing the housing consists of a clear, smooth glass.
