The invention relates to an article and a method of manufacturing clothing which comprises stretchable fabric. Resin suitable for constraining elongation is densely and loosely distributed in predetermined local parts of the objective clothing in a range from such local parts requiring intense force for constraining elongation to such local parts requiring less intense force for constraining elongation. The clothing of the invention proportionally constrains elongation at predetermined local parts, shapes up the body line of the wearer by locally varying the elongation constraining force by way of gradation. <IMAGE>
