A device for separating off light materials from mineral raw materials, in particular from sand and gravel, having a sorting region which operates according to the fluidised-bed method, having a charging element for the raw material, a discharge for the cleaned material and an overflow for the light materials, is to be improved with respect to the throughput rate and the separating performance. For this purpose, provision is made for the device to be constructed in two stages having an inner chamber (10) with an associated charging arrangement (11) for charging the raw material and the separating the coarse sand and having an outer chamber (23), which surrounds the inner chamber (10) in an annular fashion and is separated off via an overflow (25), for sorting the fine-grade sand, the outer chamber (23) being constructed as a sorting region which operates according to the fluidised-bed method and the overflow (32) for the light materials adjoining said outer chamber (23). <IMAGE>

Eine Vorrichtung zum Abscheiden von Leichtstoffen aus mineralischen Rohstoffen, insbesondere aus Sand und Kies, mit einem nach dem Wirbelschichtverfahren arbeitenden Sortierbereich, mit einer Aufgabe für das Rohmaterial, einem Austrag für das gereinigte Material und einem Überlauf für die Leichtstoffe, soll bezüglich der Durchsatzleistung und des Trennerfolges verbessert werden. Hierzu ist vorgesehen, daß die Vorrichtung zweistufig mit einer Innenkammer (10) mit einer zugeordneten Aufgabeanordnung (11) für die Rohmaterialaufgabe und die Abtrennung des groben Sandes und mit einer die Innenkammer (10) ringartig umgebenden und über einen Überlauf (25) abgetrennten Außenkammer (23) für die Sortierung des Feinsandes ausgebildet ist, wobei die Außenkammer (23) als nach dem Wirbelschichtverfahren arbeitender Sortierbereich ausgebildet ist und an diese der Überlauf (32) für die Leichtstoffe anschließt. <IMAGE>
