In a method of making extruded profiles of high surface wear resistance, a composite extrusion bolt is formed from a bolt core of a monolithic metal and at least one composite body embedded in the bolt core. The composite body consists of a metal matrix material which has a high wear resistance. The composite extrusion bolt formed in this way is heat-treated and extruded.

Verfahren zum Herstellen von Strangpreßprofilteilen mit hoher Oberflächenverschleißfestigkeit. Ein Verbundstrangpreßbolzen wird aus einem Bolzenkern aus einem monolithischen Metall und wenigstens einem, in den Bolzenkern eingebetteten Verbundkörper gebildet. Der Verbundkörper besteht aus einem Metallmatrix-Material, das eine hohe Verschleißfestigkeit hat. Der in dieser Weise gebildete Verbundstrangpreßbolzen wird wärmebehandelt und stranggepreßt.
