[origin: EP0508434A1] In a method of making extruded profiles of high surface wear resistance, a composite extrusion bolt is formed from a bolt core of a monolithic metal and at least one composite body embedded in the bolt core. The composite body consists of a metal matrix material which has a high wear resistance. The composite extrusion bolt formed in this way is heat-treated and extruded.
