Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0508907A1] This counterweight (2, 3) is articulated, by its support (1), to the rear of the rotating platform (14) of the crane. In the transport configuration, it is turned down in a horizontal position and is thus placed approximately at the centre of gravity of the vehicle transporting the crane. In the working configuration, it is raised in a vertical position, at the rearmost part of the platform. Its front end (lugs 8) is articulated by connecting rods (10) to the lower segment (12) of the folding tower (4, 12) of the crane, such that the counterweight is turned down and raised automatically when the tower is folded up and opened out, under the action of a jack. In the folded-up position, the tower is placed between the two upper bodies (2) of the counterweight. <IMAGE>
