The planted island has the following features: - the planted island is designed as a trough (1) on supports which receives planting earth (16, 18), - the trough edge (4) and the outer trough bottom region (5) are formed by individual angle elements (2) arranged next to one another and adjoining one another, - the outer trough bottom region of the respective angle element tapers towards the inner trough bottom region (11), - neighbouring angle elements are adjacent in the region of the trough edge, - the inner trough bottom region is formed by plate elements (3), - the angle elements and the plate elements have feet (7, 10) on their undersides. <IMAGE>
