Abstract (en)

The invention relates to a tobacco cartridge which is cut from a tobacco rod by a cutting operation at the factory and is prefabricated and consists of a portion of tobacco which is open at the ends, corresponds to the tobacco filling of a finished cigarette and can be introduced into a cigarette paper tube (6), the outer surface of said portion of tobacco being formed from a wrapping (4) which is made of completely smokable material and is permeable to air in such a way that it cannot be smoked as such, but can be consumed by smoking when it has been introduced into the cigarette paper tube. The invention is characterised in that one or both end faces of the tobacco cartridge is/are enlarged in terms of area relative to the cross-sectional area either (a) by a cut surface (20, 20') sloping towards the longitudinal plane of the tobacco cartridge or (b) by a cut surface (20'', 20''') running perpendicular or obliquely to the longitudinal plane in a curved or wedge shape in profile. <IMAGE>

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Tabakpatrone, die fabrikatorisch durch einen Schneidvorgang aus einem Tabakstrang abgeteilt und vorgefertigt ist und aus einer stirnseitig offenen, der Tabakfüllung einer fertigen Cigarette entsprechenden und in eine Cigarettenpapierhülse (6) einbringbaren Tabakportion besteht, deren Mantelfläche aus einer derart luftdurchlässigen Umhüllung (4) aus vollständig rauchbarem Material gebildet ist, daß sie als solche nicht abrauchbar, aber nach Einbringung in die Cigarettenpapierhülse durch Rauchen konsumierbar ist und die dadurch gekennzeichnet ist, daß eine oder beide Stirnflächen der Tabakpatrone entweder (a) durch einen schräg zur Längsebene der Tabakpatrone verlaufende Schnittfläche (20,20') oder (b) durch eine im Profil bogen- oder keilförmige senkrecht oder schräg zur Längsebene verlaufende Schnittfläche (20'',20''') gegenüber der Querschnittsfläche flächenmäßig vergrößert ist. <IMAGE>
