[origin: EP0509199A1] A press section of a papermachine for dehydrating a paper web contains two separate, series-arranged broad-nip pressing points (1 and 2). Both pressing points (1,2) each have at least one felt band which is passed through the pressing points together with the web. The paper web is passed forward from the first pressing point (1) to a take-off device (15) which is in contact with the upper felt (13) of the second pressing point (2) and from which the web can then reach the second pressing point (2). <IMAGE>
