[origin: EP0509206A2] The invention relates to the butt joint of an impost profile (2) with a frame profile or bar profile (1). Important in this connection is a connecting piece (3) which can be screwed in and which has two parallel hook strips (4, 5) and a strip (6) parallel thereto. In the built-in position, the connecting piece (3) is inclined at an angle alpha , the hooks (4', 5', 6') of the strips (4, 5, 6) having flattened areas (14, 15, 16) so that the connecting piece (3) can be inserted laterally into longitudinal grooves (7a, 7b, 7c) of the frame profile or bar profile (1).
