The printing device has a back pressure cylinder (11) and a forme inking unit (17). The back pressure cylinder and the forme inking unit (17) and/or the substrate are subdivided in the axial direction into a plurality of thermic zones (Z1, Z2 ... Zn) which can be heated or cooled independently of one another in order to vary the viscosity of the ink located in this zone. As a result, the quantity of ink can be influenced in terms of temperature beyond the printing width. The quantity of ink can be controlled in the axial direction during the running printing operation without mechanical changes to the machine. <IMAGE>

Die Druckvorrichtung weist einen Gegendruckzylinder (11) und ein Farbauftragswerk (17) auf. Der Gegendruckzylinder bzw. das Farbauftragswerk (17) und/oder das Substrat sind in axialer Richtung in mehrere thermische Zonen (Z1,Z2 ... Zn) unterteilt, die unabhängig voneinander beheizbar bzw. kühlbar sind, um die Viskosität der in dieser Zone befindlichen Farbe zu verändern. Dadurch kann die Farbmenge über die Druckbreite hinweg thermisch beeinflußt werden. Die Farbmengensteuerung kann während des laufenden Druckbetriebs in axialer Richtung ohne mechanische Veränderungen an der Maschine durchgeführt werden. <IMAGE>
