[origin: US5191836A] A printing unit for a rotary printing press can accomplish a flying plate change by utilizing a pair of forme cylinders in conjunction with an impression cylinder and an ink forme roller which are both pivotably supported. Both the impression cylinder and the ink roller can be moved into engagement with one of the forme cylinders while the printing plate on the other forme cylinder is being changed.
