[origin: EP0509419A1] To strip off laminated sheet blanks (3) which are provided, in a covering sheet adhesively bonded to a carrier paper via a rear-side adhesive layer, with incisions which form advertising lettering or graphics designed for self-adhesive attachment to an advertising surface and remaining on the carrier paper when a sheet remnant (15) of the covering sheet is removed from the carrier paper of the sheet blanks (3), the sheet blanks are influenced in a deviation of a preset conveying direction (4) in cooperation with a transfer device (10) with a deflecting edge (8), in such a way that with each sheet blank (3) the sheet remnant (15) is removed from the carrier paper, in a deflected transfer direction (14), for delivery to a remnant roller (16), whereas the carrier paper with the advertising lettering or graphics remaining on its upper surface is taken away in the preset conveying direction (4). <IMAGE>
