Provided especially for lawnmower engines is a power control device which consists of an actuating housing (2) fixable to the handle spar (12) and of an actuating lever (1) which is pivotable in said actuating housing and which is connected to the internal-combustion engine by means of a Bowden pullcord (8). In addition to the stop position for full load and for idling, there is also a specific stop position for normal load, and between the normal load and idling range there is an index zone (63) for the requisite fine adjustment. The actuating lever (1), after overcoming an elastically retracting detent (10), can be transferred beyond the full-load position into the cold-start position. The pivotably mounted actuating lever (1) is provided with a catch slot (25) which cooperates with the positive-locking stops (61,62) of a catch element, and the catch slot (25) can be lifted out by means of a release knob (48). <IMAGE>

Insbesondere für Rasenmähermotore wird eine Leistungssteuervorrichtung vorgesehen, die aus einem am Griffholm (12) festlegbaren Stellgehäuse (2) und einem darin verschwenkbaren Stellhebel (1) besteht, der über einen Bowdenzug (8) mit der Brennkraftmaschine verbunden ist. Es ist außer der Anschlagstellung für Vollast und für Leerlauf noch eine definierte Anschlagstellung für Normallast vorgesehen, und zwischen dem Bereich Normallast und Leerlauf befindet sich ein Rastenfeld (63) zur bedarfsweisen Feineinstellung. Über die Volllaststellung ist der Stellhebel (1) nach Überwindung einer elastisch zurückweichenden Rastsperre (10) in die Kaltstartstellung überführbar. Der schwenkbar gelagerte Stellhebel (1) ist mit einer Rastkulisse (25) versehen, die mit den Formschlußanschlägen (61,62) eines Rastelementes zusammenwirkt und die Rastkulisse (25) kann durch einen Auslöseknopf (48) ausgehoben werden. <IMAGE>
