[origin: EP0509859A1] Improvements to female electrical contact elements of the type formed from a body (1) folded into a U with a web (1a) and two flanges (1b, 1c), one end of the said body having means (2, 4) for attaching it to an electrical conductor, whereas, at its other end, the flanges of the U are continued, on the one hand, by two contact strips (6, 7) and, on the other hand, at their free end by a tab (5, 8) which extends over the entire length of the corresponding contact strip (6, 7) and which is folded in order to be disposed on the side of the external face of the said corresponding contact strip, which are characterised in that the free ends of the contact strips (6, 7) include a lug (6a, 7a), whereas the tabs (5, 8) each have a hole (24, 25) disposed so as to receive the corresponding lug. <IMAGE>
