Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0510506A2] Hydro-mechanical press with a crank-driven outer ram (13) guided in the frame (1, 2, 3) and an inner ram (16) which is guided in the outer ram (13) and can be driven hydraulically relative to the outer ram (13), provision being made for at least one tool combination consisting of a tool fastened to the inner ram (16) and an opposing tool interacting with this tool and arranged in a fixed position. So that the hydraulically driven movements of the inner ram (16) relative to the outer ram (13) can be rapidly controlled or regulated in such a press, even during the crank-driven stroke of the outer ram (13), it is proposed to provide only single-acting cylinder/piston units (17, 18) for both directions of the relative movements symmetrically to the centre plane (II - II) of both rams (13, 16) in such a way that they are operatively arranged between the latter. <IMAGE>
