Abstract (en)
The bridge-wire initiator contains a metal layer (15) which forms two electrodes connected to one another by means of an ignition bridge. Between the metal layer (15) and the pyrotechnic ignition composition (20) is located a thin protective film (21) made of electrically non-conductive material of good thermal conductivity. The protective film (21) makes it possible to use an ignition material having electrically conductive components, without a shunt by way of the ignition bridge being generated. <IMAGE>

Das Brücken-Zündmittel enthält eine Metallschicht (15), die zwei durch eine Zündbrücke miteinander verbundene Elektroden bildet. Zwischen der Metallschicht (15) und dem pyrotechnischen Anzündsatz (20) befindet sich ein dünner Schutzfilm (21) aus elektrisch nicht leitendem, gut wärmeleitendem Material. Der Schutzfilm (21) ermöglicht die Verwendung eines Zündstoffes mit elektrisch leitenden Komponenten, ohne daß ein Nebenschluß über die Zündbrücke erzeugt wird. <IMAGE>
